Pop-up Pumpkin Shop
The Pumpkin House is decorated with over 1,000 pumpkins and handmade out of wood. Located in North Norfolk, it is the creation of husband and wife team Henry and Victoria Cushing on their family farm. Visitors walk through a wooded trail decorated with pumpkins and scarecrows to reach the Pumpkin House. Photographs can be taken inside and you can choose our own perfect Jack o lantern from the Pumpkin House shelves.

We are opening this year as normal! New for 2020 a special Miniature Pumpkin House will be open, perfect for any visiting little witches and wizards. Plus the haybale maze, pumpkin totem poles and the musical organ will all be back as usual. Further details to follow so please check back.
Our address is Brookhill Farm, Fakenham Road, Thursford NR210BD. We are located just off the A148 between Holt and Fakenham...you can’t miss us! We are open Wednesday 21st October 10am-4pm everyday until Saturday 31st October.
We will be following all government guidelines and will update this page more thoroughly in due course. At this point we are planning on opening as normal. Entrance to the field will be one way and there will be hand sanitiser at numerous points around the site. There will be lots of signs to remind people to social distance and it will be one family group at a time inside the Pumpkin House. The house is completely outside in the fresh air and we have lots of space for everyone to enjoy it.

How does it work
There is no need to book. Please park in the farmyard and follow the signs through the wooded walk. On arrival at the field please select any pumpkin you would like from the Pumpkin House shelves. Then take it to the Shepherds Hut and pay. Standard pumpkins are £4.50 and include a free leaflet all about pumpkins. Feel free to take as many photographs as you like.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We will accept cash and have a card machine (which works most of the time!)
There is plenty of free parking. Please note the Pumpkin House is in a field so please wear appropriate footwear and note that the path may be uneven and muddy. Please drive slowly on the site as there will be children around.
Is there an admission fee to The Pumpkin House, Thursford?
No it is completely FREE to visit. Pumpkins are priced individually and all include a free how to guide with tips on carving, recipe ideas and how to grow your own.
Unfortunately as we are a working livestock farm no dogs are allowed on the farm.

Is there a cafe onsite?
We have the 'Hungry Hut' horsebox which sells hot drinks and cake and biscuits to takeaway. There are some hay bales and seating around the site for you to sit on
Can I bring a picnic
No. Only food and drink purchased at the Hungry Hut can be consumed on the farm.
Do you have toilets
There are no toilet facilities onsite.
Is there anything else to do?
In addition to buying a pumpkin, you can enjoy the musical organ, look at our vintage farm machinery and explore the wooded walk all for FREE. The hay bale maze and purchases from the Hungry Hut are priced as marked.
