Questions and Answers

We’re Here to Help

Please find lots of answers to frequently asked questions below. If you have any other queries please do email us at brookhillfarm15@gmail.com or use our contact box and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

How can I find you?

For details on how to find us, please click here.

Are dogs allowed?

We are allowing dogs on site. However they have to be on a lead at ALL times and all dog waste must be taken home with you.

Are there toilets?

Yes, there are two portaloos, which our visitors can use.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Unfortunately we don't have any specific baby change facilities.

Do you take cash or card?

Even though we are based on a rural farm, we have the technology to accept both!

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the weather. We have moved location this year so hopefully the field will be less muddy but we recommend welly boots.

Is there food?

Depending on which event you will visit there will always be hot and cold drinks and potentially hot soup or ice cream depending on the season! Plus lots of delicious cakes available to purchase. Please dispose of all rubbish in bins provided. In 2023 for Halloween we will have wood fired pizzas on sale every weekend.

Is the site suitable for a pushchair / wheelchair?

We are a working farm and The Pumpkin House field is uneven. If it has been dry then the paths will be easier to navigate. If it has been wet, then it would not be very easy.

Do you pay for parking?

No, parking is free but cars are left at their owners risk.

Is smoking permitted?

No, smoking and vaping is permitted anywhere on the farm.

Can we bring a picnic?

We kindly ask that visitors please only consume food and drink bought from The Pumpkin House.

Please note:

  • Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at ALL times.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry and to remove people from the farm.

  • Thieves will be prosecuted

Halloween

What are the opening times?

We open on Saturday 14thand Sunday 115th October 2023 10 am - 4pm

Saturday 21st October and every day until Sunday 29th October 10am - 4pm

Do I need to book in advance?

No – we do not require advanced booking.

Can I carve my pumpkin at the farm?

At present we are not able to offer pumpkin carving workshops at the farm as we do not have the facilities or staff available to assist.

What else is there to do?

There are loads of things to do when you visit us. Enjoy the traditional vintage musical organ, explore our wooded walk, have a browse in our Halloween shop with costumes, candles, home made soap and broomsticks. Play tin can alley and pumpkin wanging (how far can you throw it!). Have a slice of pumpkin cake and a hot chocolate whilst the children climb the haybale tower.

Will the pumpkins last until Halloween if bought early?
If you look after your pumpkin it will last for weeks UNCARVED. Store them somewhere frost free with plenty of fresh air e.g. a shed, garage or outside. Once carved your pumpkin will last 3-5 days outside.

Important notice.

We take no responsibility for any accidental loss or damage to personal effects, or any injuries or accidents to visitors, arising from or in connection with exploring The Pumpkin House, wooded walk or using hay play and bale towers.
