How can I find you?

For details on how to find us, please click here.

Are dogs allowed?

I am afraid we can’t welcome dogs. We are a livestock farm and NO dogs are allowed on site.

Are there toilets?

Yes, there are two portaloos, which our onsite visitors can use.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Yes, there is a baby changing unit available in the disabled portaloo. As we pride ourselves on being family-friendly, we want to cater for all ages!

Do you take cash or card?

Even though we are based on a rural farm, we have the technology to accept both!

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the weather. If it is hot, you will need sun cream and a hat. The field will also likely be dusty. If it is raining or has been raining, then the field will be muddy so boots or welly boots might be advisable. Comfortable shoes always recommended.

Is there food?

Yes, there will be hot and cold drinks, ice cream and snacks available to purchase. Please dispose of all rubbish in bins provided.

Is the site suitable for a pushchair / wheelchair?

We are a working farm and The Pumpkin House field is uneven. If it has been dry then the paths will be easier to navigate. If it has been wet, then it would not be very easy.

Do you pay for parking?

No, parking is free but cars are left at their owners risk.

Is smoking permitted?

No, smoking and vaping is not permitted in the maze or anywhere on the farm.

Is alcohol permitted?

No, alcohol is not permitted in the maze or anywhere on the farm.

Can we walk anywhere on the field?

No, for your health and safety please only stick to the areas you have been directed to for the maze.

What is there to do in the Maize Maze?

All visitors will be given a map to help you navigate your way round. Keep an eye out for vintage machinery, scarecrows and the odd surprise.

Outside the maze we also have tractor tyre sand pits with buckets and spades for lots of digging! Plus our Hay bale towers to climb over. On selected days we will also have our vintage organ playing.

How long will it take to complete the Maize Maze?

We advise approximately 1 hour to complete the maze. Obviously, it depends on your map reading skills, which way you decide to turn at each corner.

What if we get lost?

If you get lost, just follow the 'quick route' as detailed on the map!

Can my children go around the Maize Maze on their own?

Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Does the Maize Maze stay open when it’s raining?

In very wet weather the maze may need to be closed. To avoid disappointment see our social media pages to check the maze is open. This is because paths get wet, muddy and slippery when the weather is very wet.

Is the Maize Maze suitable for young children?

Yes, but the maze field is quite large and very tall so please keep that in mind.

Is the Maize Maze open all year?

No. We’re open during August and early September. Maize is an annual crop which means that it is planted in the spring and is mature by mid-late summer. We plant the field in April. In the Autumn the maize is harvested and used as animal feed.
